The Haiku, with its limited format of: 1st Line, 5 Syllables, 2nd Line 7 Syllables, 3rd Line 5 Syllables; provides a rare look into the thoughts, hubris, pathos, creativity and humor of the author. The Haiku can make sense, it can incense or it can make no sense at all. The Haiku can make laughs, make anger, bemuse and befuddle. The Haiku can be innocuous, political, self-aggrandizing or quite a joyful noise and delicious food for thought.
