Keyboard Dances

Of the three known compositions of Richard Jones, only one is devoted to keyboard music: Suits or setts of Lessons for the Harpsichord or Spinnet, published around 1732. The various pieces from these suites, which have been selected for this album of moderate difficulty, are tuneful and provide an invaluable compendium of 18th-century dance forms.
