About the author Mayke Smit Originally trained and working as a jurist, Mayke Smit (1968) has been an independent trainer and coach for many years, operating from the philosophy of Systemic work, in which she was thoroughly trained. She guides professionals in their personal growth and teams in transformation processes. While writing her debut 'Los' (2014) - a novel about processing divorce - Mayke developed a program for rebuilding one's life after divorce. She is a licensed intervision supervisor for lawyers and mediators and provides training in Systemic work for mediators. The knowledge and experience that she shares, is what she describes in Unraveling dynamics in mediation, which is used in the Master Mediation and is published in Dutch and English. Questioning the effect of the bond with her mother on her life, relationships, womanhood and sexuality, Mayke wrote 'Van je moeder moet je het hebben, van je dochter kun je het krijgen' together with her mother, Alice Altink. An in-depth addition to this book is 'Ins & Outs van het Moeder-Dochter-gesprek', in which they provide a manual for mothers and daughters to reach a more profound contact with each other. www.maykesmit.nl www.vanjemoedervanjedochterboek.nl
